This is probably the hardest to find
piece I have owned, He is adorable, totally loved and balding but a
fabulous character. He is of course the steiff mohair donkey with tail
turns head mechanism> I have enjoyed him for some years and he is hoping
to find a new home this Christmas. Not much mohair to talk of except for
his face and legs, but he has a face to launch a thousand ships., Very
rare to find, and his mechanism works well, He has no tail but this
could be fairly easily made if you wish. Bless him! Stands 8 inches tall
to shoulders. It will be a long time before you see another of these! No
button but for sure Steiff! red felt cloth is old but replaced. Lovely
addition to any Christmas display! A great find and a very realistic
price for such a rare Steiff piece |
