A bear like this one
does not come along everyday. So I am delighted to be offering this
incredible early Chiltern, often mistaken for Chad Valley, but definitely
Chiltern as a colleague has confirmed by owning a smaller almost
identical bear, with a paper label on his chest. He is an absolute stunner,
with the softest silky lemon gold mohair covering 95% of him, with minor
thinning rather than any balding patches. He is handsome indeed. He is
completely Kapok filled giving him a fluffy cloudlike feel when you hold
him. He stands 18 inches tall and has a wonderful floss stitched nose and
smiling mouth, Amber and black glass eyes. His feet and paws have been
recovered with appropriate linen. Apart from that , no restoration.
He has a charming
expression and is so clean and soft a real treasure to add to any collection
especially if you are partial to a nice unusual Chiltern. A great big ray of
sunshine to add to any Christmas stocking! |
