A beautiful and rare colour Early Farnell |

This beautiful bear comes from my own personal collection. As many of us do , I like to "roll" my collection every so often, so I am delighted to bring you this fabulous Farnell. He is a very early bear c 1910 and a similar bear can be seen in Ken Yenkes treasury, Ken refers to this model of Farnell as being one of his personal favourites too. With his ears set wide on his head, shiny boot button eyes and the most vibrant gold mohair with a tinge of green in real life. He stands 13 inches tall and has card lined felt feet
which have been expertly repaired with aged felt and paws too. He does have patches of wear to his mohair as you can see on the photos, but with his remaining 80% being so glorious, I have always forgiven him this. He ahs a great body shape, a fabulous strong profile and is clean , clean , clean! His nose was professionally re-stitched in old floss and could easily be mistaken as his original, but as always, I like to reveal all. It is a beautiful job! He is a fine quality bear, of great proportions and will grace any collection! I hope you will enjoy him as I have., |
