Heath a fine Steiff with FF button

I am delighted to bring Heath to you today, A fine old Steiff by with plenty of mohair and a great great face!! Heath stands 18 inches tall and has his ff button snugly in his ear. He is all original with boot button eyes and remains of nose showing the original felt underneath. His pads are all pretty good with just a small area of excelsior revealed in his left paw. He is a wonderful colour, the soft antique gold that we all know and love. He does have areas of thinning but over all 85% plus, He has a patch on his right wrist on the back that as you can see has loss and some loss to backs of legs, but the normal "where you sit loss"! I always think that Steiff win if they have the face. Heath certainly does have the face! he has had a light clean, but if you like your bears totally spotless, then let me know and I will arrange to clean him again. Sometimes I think you can clean the life out of them! He dates c 1908 and has a non working tilt growler. A very pretty boy who is for sale on behalf of a customer. |
